The Terreiro de Arte e Cultura was a space created for the endorsement of arts and activities in the Durham area.
Created by Mestre Caxias in October of 2008, the Terreiro is the host of the Grupo Capoeira Brasil North Carolina capoeira classes.
It is a home for the capoeira group as well a knowledge center for capoeira, maculele, samba and other Brazilian arts.
