The Game

The game of Capoeira is a fluid series of agile, acrobatic, and martial movements linked together to form a unique corporal conversation. The gracefully strategic physical dialogue happens in the Roda, the circle where training manifests into games between two Capoeiristas (practitioners of the art). These games are an intricate exchange of circular and straight kicks, escapes, sweeps, takedowns, and gymnastic flourishes.

Hey CBNC, just a quick reminder of our Morehead City schedule, classes are fun and capoeira can be played by anyone from 4 to 94, spread the word and have fun.

July 31st (Saturday)

We have a performance this Saturday at White Tiger TKD in Cary. 
It would be great if the  kids from our regular Saturday classes can join the adults for this one.  We will meet at the Terreiro at 1pm.  

Since we will be in Cary performing, we won't have the kids' or the beginners' classes on Saturday.

OrchestraFor those who have never seen Capoeira played, the roda (circle) is where everything happens. It is the climax of the art of Capoeira. At the head of the roda is the orchestra consisting of three berimbaus, two pandeiros and one atabaque.
